Get out of the January Jam this February

February has a very different energy to January. January is heavy. It’s full of pressure,
expectations, resolutions and a quiet sense that we should be doing better already.
By the time February arrives, many of us feel a bit stuck. Not lazy. Not failing. Just jammed. February is the month where we start to come out of that January jam. Slowly. Gently. Without the big declarations.
If January was survival mode, February is the thaw. The days are still cold, but the light changes. There’s a subtle shift that we often feel before we can explain it. That shift brings awareness, especially in our homes. The clutter we managed to ignore in January suddenly feels louder and heavier. More irritating. That’s not a bad thing. It usually means we’re waking up again.
February isn’t the month for dramatic clear-outs or total home transformations. It’s about creating breathing space. One drawer instead of one room. Ten minutes instead of an afternoon. One honest decision instead of perfection. A helpful question to ask is 'what am I tired of dealing with every single day?' That’s where the easiest, most freeing changes live.
As daylight creeps back in, it shows us what we’ve been avoiding. Piles, surfaces, cupboards that quietly drain our energy. This doesn’t mean your home is getting worse. It just means it’s becoming more visible. Mentally, we’re shifting forward, while our stuff is still stuck in winter mode. A small shift helps bring everything back into alignment.
This February, instead of a traditional “reset”, we’re inviting you to join our Free Yourself
February challenge. Every day throughout the month, we share one short video with a simple decluttering prompt and a gentle nudge to let something go. There’s no pressure to keep up and no such thing as falling behind. If you miss a day, you can catch up on the videos at any time and go at your own pace.
If at any point you’re feeling stuck in the challenge, the workbook is there as a helpful tool to guide you through and help you get moving again, no pressure, just support.
Spring doesn’t arrive all at once. It sneaks in through brighter mornings, clearer thoughts and lighter moods.
February’s role isn’t to transform your home. It’s to help you release what’s quietly
weighing you down, so spring has somewhere to land. One small thing at a time is more than enough.
